Ya, cool you jacked MARIOS with the leather altered chucks, good for you. So explain to me why these are over $1,000 USD? Is the leather stitched by jesus christ? If you’re gonna spend over 200 bucks for a creative interpretation of the chuck, which probably costs less then $50 to make, then go for something crazy like the MARIOS:

Mixed Greens Gallery in NYC has a great section of interviews with a few art collectors now online.
It’s a fitting post for myself, as I’ve recently been thinking a lot about collecting art. There is definitely the beneficial long-term commerce aspect of it, but also the skill needed to seek out art you love, the knowledge to appraise an artist’s technical growth and the foresight for an artist’s popularity.

Juxtapoz has some pics up of Faile’s recent show in NYC and fuck are they amazing. Their work has been on my list of “art I need to purchase before I die” ever since I first saw their shit pop up online for the Gas Experiment in ’02.
