something old i forgot about
January 24, 2010 on 1:00 am | In Art | No Comments…if I stare at it long enough I’ll remember the context.

Strangely, it doesn’t seem like anything happened in the past 12 months and I’m not just talking about my art productivity, because that’s obvious. 09′ flew by, with most of it spent in front of the computer and every 30 days yelling out ‘fuck i can’t believe it is *this month* already!’. Having said that (thanks CYE S07E10), putting the year in review has definitely raised some bushy brows. My work visa was extended, we survived the market crunch, elevated my steez, started painting regularly, saw my best mate get married and re-visited my favourite place on earth (Japan) in full-on rockstar style with TTT. So although I spend every weekend at the office, some cool shit did happen this year.

January 24, 2009 on 4:05 am | In Fashion | No CommentsRick Owens had his first menswear runway show today in Paris. He has definitely upped his tailoring for f/w 09/10 and brought the pain as usual with his amazing leathers. I’m not feeling the boots and most of the layered tops/pants were overshadowed by the killer outwear, so for now I’m just planning to kop one of these sick jackets. Call me goth/ninja’d.
Hey Japan!

January 16, 2009 on 5:53 am | In Fashion | No CommentsThis reminds me of when I once asked this stranger on the street if his cdiems were from the f/w06 collection and he just mumbled something and fell back asleep on his cardboard.
another year…
January 8, 2009 on 5:50 am | In Random | No CommentsSo it’s another new year and time to reflect on the one that has past. Well for starters, that went by way too fast. Secondly, I really need to paint more. On the EE art side of things I completed 6 works in 2008; 3 pencil drawings and 3 paintings. Quite depressing I know.
On the other hand, I’ve been a workaholic and would put in at least 50-60hrs every week. So hopefully in two-thousand and mine i’ll focus more on myself and produce more work.
Here are the 3 paintings I did finish. All acrylic on wood, 20cm x 25cm being the biggest:

Artists I like’ #001
June 10, 2008 on 5:40 am | In Art | 1 CommentI’m going to start payin respects where respect is due. First off is Melissa Forman from Cleveland, Ohio. Usually I’m not huge fans of young technically perfect, figurative/realism oil painters (aside from Gross, Ryden etc) but I’m digging Miss Forman’s work. Maybe it’s the soft victorian edge or just that slight touch of weird/creepiness. Either way, I’m sure her profile can only increase after the recent Corey Helford show. It also can’t hurt that she is pretty hot too.

new yasuhiro that i can’t afford
June 2, 2008 on 2:41 am | In Fashion | No CommentsI’d rock all 3 of these but i don’t think I’d pay over 700 for worn out cycle boots with a knit lining, even if I did have that kind of coin to drop.
